The official Iranian news agency reported in a report: “The head of the Public Relations Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran, commenting on the statements of the Director of the Media and Communications Department of the Qatari Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ibrahim Al-Hashemi, regarding the visit of senior officials from Pakistan, Turkey and Saudi Arabia to Tehran, said: ‘The Tehran Quartet meeting is in itself an indication of good faith and a responsible approach of Iran towards the common interests of the peoples of the region.’
The Islamic Republic of Iran expects all countries in the region, including Qatar, to show mutual good faith in their policies and directions, and to refrain - taking into account the principle of good neighborliness - a serious refrain from repeating some practices, especially allowing aggressor parties to use their territories and capabilities to launch a military aggression against Iran.’ Al-Hashemi had said in statements reported by the Qatar News Agency that ‘the region needs a new regional security system that takes into account the sovereignty of states and affirms the principle of non- Mutual aggression,” adding: “The State of Qatar and the Gulf Cooperation Council countries have always affirmed their readiness to build this security system,” pointing out that “the ball is now in the court of the Iranian side to adhere to these principles and prove good faith.”
Al-Hashemi stressed that "despite the positive statements issued by Tehran, what is required is to translate this into practice by stopping the threats directed at the countries of the region and ensuring freedom of navigation in the Strait of Hormuz, which contributes to the establishment of a safe and prosperous region." Al-Hashemi stressed that “the mediators are adhering to the window of hope, due to their absolute belief that the effective and final solution will only be achieved through the negotiating table, which requires concerted efforts and continuous push towards calm, reducing escalation, and resolving all outstanding issues through peaceful diplomatic means, and that the movement of exchanging diplomatic messages, ideas, and viewpoints between the United States of America and the Islamic Republic of Iran continues without interruption through the Qatari mediation channel in continuous coordination with the partners, noting that these tireless efforts have not stopped for a moment.” One, and it strongly pushes towards cordoning off the conflict and creating the appropriate conditions to reach urgent solutions that end the cycle of conflict and provide guarantees of security and stability for all countries of the region.
