Former Egyptian Vice President Mohamed ElBaradei said that US President Donald Trump's threats to launch a military strike against Iran remind him of the same scene as the Iraq War, which he described as "illegitimate and immoral." ElBaradei previously wrote on his page on the “X” platform, Twitter: “Trump’s continued threats to launch a military strike against Iran, in the absence of a clear and direct danger and in clear violation of international law, reminds me of the same horrific scene that preceded the illegal and immoral Iraq war, with the lies it contained and the dire consequences that resulted from it.”
The former Egyptian Vice President continued by saying: “It does not seem that human lives or the destruction of our region have any value.” ElBaradei concluded his post about Trump’s threats to Iran by saying: “We never learn...”, referring to the experience of the Iraq war.
