Multiple blessings and neglect of gratitude may weaken the happiness of achieving them evenly

Writer: Dr. Suhail Al-Ahmad

We may overlook many of the meanings and not realize their true meaning unless we achieve awareness of self-examination, heart accountability, and positive consideration of feelings. If one contemplates this situation in the Prophet’s hadith: “Whoever among you wakes up safe in his flock, healthy in his body, has sustenance for his day, it is as if the world had been created for him,” he knows the depth of the meanings and understands the purposes of the words in explaining the reality of the blessings and happiness of the situation and the saying, for in the hadith there are profound words that sum up the truth. Bliss, and brings the soul back to what it may neglect in light of the busyness of life and people’s preoccupations. By its nature, it reminds us not to look to what is in people’s hands, and not to forget the blessings and good things in their hands and between them that deserve praise and the gratitude of the One who bestows it. If you are safe in your flock, without fear or worry, and you have found and achieved tranquility, then that is a great virtue and bliss whose value is only known by those who have lost security or have tasted the bitterness of fear.

If a person becomes healthy in his body, goes about his life with strength, and moves through it without pain that restricts his progress or illness that burdens his steps, then he has achieved great blessings for himself, and if a person has enough food for his day and is able to satisfy his hunger and his dependents and his needs are satisfied and he uses that to help his life and his day, then he has attained a great provision that deserves praise, grace and generosity that should not be met with ingratitude or heedlessness.

Despite all this, how many people have had these blessings, and then their heart remains preoccupied with what they lack, and their eyes are drawn to what others have, not being satisfied with what they have, nor being comfortable with what is in their hands, as if happiness is not complete without having more, and as if the blessings they experience are worthless as long as there are wishes that are not fulfilled, and here they know that seeking goodness and favor and an increase in goodness and righteousness is not considered a deficiency in a person or a flaw in his thought; Rather, the problem is that a person loses the pleasure of being grateful for the blessings in his hands, and that he suspends thought and behavior about what he did not receive until he forgets the blessings of God Almighty upon him, and this is a flaw and defect, because the world is not in the abundance of what you have, but in the greatness of what you are blessed with, and in the presence of the heart and its knowledge of the extent of the blessing before it loses it.

The wise person is the one who achieves tranquility and contentment for himself and knows that well-being is a treasure, security is a blessing, and sustenance is sufficient, and that the combination of these three in a person’s condition and condition is one of the gates of wealth that only those who look well and whose heart is attached to the beauty of the blessing and are satisfied, work and progress and achieve for themselves the tranquility that is absent from the condition of many people. And you, O rational and aware person, if you become safe in your family, healthy in your body, you have sustenance for your day, so do not make Your eyes are captivated by what you missed, and do not let your heart become attached to what was not written for you. Rather, start your day by praising God, receive His blessings with gratitude, expand your life without resentment, and ask for His bounty for what you want without forgetting His bounty upon you, and remember that how many blessings you experience every day, and you think that it is a normal thing, while it is among others’ distant wishes and hopes...
