- Exit polls, conducted by the three main institutions in Israel, showed a slight shift in favor of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu; It has become equal with the opposition bloc - led by Gadi Eisenkot - or ahead of it by a slight margin. According to the latest update of opinion polls conducted by the Israeli Channel 12, Netanyahu's bloc - consisting of right-wing and ultra-Orthodox Jewish parties - obtained 52 seats, while Eisenkot's bloc fell to 49 seats, while the Arab parties' tally rose by one seat to 19 seats.
Polls indicated that the "Likud" party, led by Netanyahu, is ahead of the "Yashar" party, led by Eisenkot, by winning 27 seats, compared to the latter's 21 seats. However, polls indicate that Netanyahu is still far from achieving the majority required to declare victory, which is 61 seats.
Likewise, Eisenkot does not have a decisive majority, and will need to cooperate with Arab parties if he wants to oust Israel's longest-serving leader. On the other hand, opinion polls conducted by Channel 13 and Channel 11 showed that Netanyahu’s bloc was tied with Eisenkot’s bloc, as each of them won 51 seats, while the Arab parties won 18 seats, according to these polls.
