The President of the Presidential Leadership Council of Yemen, Rashad Alimi, announced the launch of the military operation "Dawn of Yemen" aimed at restoring state institutions, liberating the capital Sana'a, and ending the "Houthi militia coup" supported by Iran. Alimi stated in a speech addressed to the Yemenis that the military option was chosen after exhausting opportunities for calm and peace efforts, confirming that the armed forces, security, and military formations have received directives to carry out their tasks according to the approved plans. Meanwhile, Yemeni forces began what they described as a "strategic attack" to liberate the capital Sana'a after controlling Bab al-Mandab and launching a wide attack from three fronts in northern, western, and southern Yemen.
