Bethlehem - Ofoq News - The Polish Ministry of the Interior announced, on Sunday, that the police had received information about the possibility of an attack targeting Prime Minister Donald Tusk and his deputy, Defense Minister Wladyslaw Kosiniak-Kamish, which prompted the security authorities to take measures to verify the nature of the threat and prepare to deal with it.
The Interior Ministry's spokeswoman, Karolina Galicka, said in a post on the "X" platform that Interior Minister Marcin Kervinski and the Minister responsible for intelligence services, Tomasz Simoniak, directed the relevant authorities to take action against the backdrop of the information that reached the police.
In response to the warning, it was decided to hold a special meeting at the Anti-Terrorism Center of the Polish Internal Security Agency (ABW), with the aim of assessing the information received and determining appropriate measures.
The authorities have not yet revealed the identity of the parties that may be behind the suspected threat, or the nature of the potential attack, nor have they announced the seriousness of the information or the arrest of suspects in connection with the case.
