Salfit - Ofoq News - This evening, armed settlers attacked Palestinian farmers in the Wadi al-Shaer area, northeast of Salfit, and assaulted olive pickers, wounding three citizens with injuries and bruises, burning a vehicle and olive trees, and stealing olive fruits and agricultural equipment.
Citizens reported that a group of armed settlers attacked the olive pickers in the Wadi Al-Shaer area and beat them, resulting in three of them being injured and bruised. They were taken to the hospital to receive treatment.
The same source added that the settlers set fire to a vehicle and olive trees belonging to Professor Fouad Al-Shami Shtayyeh, and also stole agricultural equipment and the fruits that were harvested.
This attack comes in the context of a series of ongoing attacks on the Wadi Al-Shaer area, northeast of Salfit, which include burning olive trees, attacking and assaulting farmers, and preventing them from reaching their lands and staying on them, in addition to causing damage to their property and sources of livelihood, after settlers established a settlement outpost on citizens’ lands in the area.
