The "Coalition" responds to the Houthis' "allegations" regarding the "threat to target the tribes of Yemen"

On Thursday, the Iranian-backed Yemeni Houthi group accused Saudi Arabia of “threatening to target Yemeni tribes,” which was denied by the Saudi-led “Coalition to Support Legitimacy in Yemen.” The military spokesman for the Houthis, Yahya Saree, said on the “X” platform (formerly Twitter), that “the Saudi enemy’s threat to target the Yemeni tribes will not go unnoticed, and that if he is involved in implementing this threat, the consequences of that will be catastrophic and unexpected for him, and we will resort to major choices that we did not want to make, and we will hold him accountable for the consequences of what will result from that,” he said.

He added that the Houthi forces "will continue their operations towards the Saudi depth in defense of our country and our people, and they will continue to impose the equation of siege with siege, escalation with escalation, and targeting the Saudi enemy's concentrations until the aggression stops and the siege of our country is ended," according to his expression. On the other hand, the spokesman for the “Coalition to Support Legitimacy in Yemen” led by Saudi Arabia, Turki Al-Maliki, said via “X” that “the allegations promoted by the terrorist Houthi militia regarding the Kingdom’s threat to target tribal and civilian gatherings are false and baseless allegations, and we deny them completely.”

He added: "These allegations, in their content and timing, reflect ongoing attempts to mislead public opinion, divert attention from the militia's crises and practices, and involve members of authentic Yemeni tribes in their conflicts." He stressed "the steadfastness of Saudi Arabia's position towards the security and stability of Yemen, and its keenness to preserve fraternal and historical ties with the brotherly Yemeni people, in a way that enhances security and stability, preserves the interests of the two peoples, and prevents the Yemeni tribes from being exploited or thrown into conflicts that do not serve the aspirations of the Yemenis for security, peace and development."
