Jerusalem - Ofoq News - The Grand Mufti of Jerusalem and the Palestinian territories, Chairman of the Supreme Fatwa Council, Sheikh Muhammad Ahmad Hussein, issued a fatwa in which he affirmed the prohibition of buying olive oil and olive fruits stolen from Palestinian trees, which the settlers sell, because of the great evils that this entails, including empowering the usurper and occupier of our land, which calls for concerted official and popular efforts to reject the sale and purchase of usurped and stolen goods.
The Grand Mufti explained, in the text of the fatwa, that the basic principle is that it is forbidden to buy stolen money, because the seller does not own it and has no right to dispose of it, indicating that buying stolen property encourages enemies to seize Palestinian lands, plunder their resources, and displace their people from them.
