Gaza - Afaq News - The Palestinian Red Crescent Society hosted a workshop today, Monday, for the Health Cluster, which is called for and coordinated by the World Health Organization, as part of preparing the Humanitarian Needs and Response Plan for 2027 (HNRP) in the Gaza Strip, with the participation of representatives from health institutions and organizations operating in the sector.
The workshop focused on reviewing priority health needs and the most vulnerable groups at risk, discussing the proposed priorities for health response during 2027, which contributes to identifying the needs and activities that should be included in the upcoming response plan.
The working groups addressed several priority health areas, including non-communicable diseases, primary health care, emergency care and injuries, rehabilitation, mental health and psychosocial support, maternal and child health, sexual and reproductive health, pharmacy, and infection control in healthcare facilities, in addition to advocacy issues and access to health services.
The workshop provided a space to review existing priorities and monitor emerging needs, as well as to propose additions and changes to the health response activities for the coming year, in preparation for completing the Humanitarian Needs and Response Plan for 2027.
