Based on the directives of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz, and Crown Prince and Prime Minister Prince Mohammed bin Salman, a Saudi relief plane arrived in the Republic of Nepal yesterday, operated by the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Centre, carrying various aid for those affected by the floods that recently struck the country.

A specialized team from the King Salman Relief Center is working to coordinate the distribution of aid with the relevant authorities in Nepal, to ensure that it reaches those affected by the floods, which resulted in massive losses of lives and property.

At the forefront of those receiving the plane were the Nepalese Minister of Science, Technology and Innovation, Mahabir Pun, the Ambassador of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques to the Republic of Nepal, Fahd bin Muhammad bin Munikhar, and the Director of the Department of Central and West Asia and Central Africa at the Nepalese Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The representative of the Nepalese government expressed his thanks and appreciation to the Kingdom’s leadership for this support, stressing that it reflects the depth of friendly relations between the two countries. For his part, the Ambassador of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques to Nepal explained that the aid reflects the Kingdom’s keenness, under the leadership’s directives, to stand by friendly countries in confronting the humanitarian effects resulting from natural disasters, and mitigating their repercussions on the population.

This aid comes within the framework of the humanitarian efforts provided by the Kingdom through the King Salman Relief Center, to support those affected and needy in various countries, and to enhance its humanitarian response to crises and disasters.
