“We support your measures to protect the security of Saudi Arabia.” The most prominent statement of King Abdullah’s call with Mohammed bin Salman

- On Monday, during a phone call with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, Jordanian King Abdullah II renewed his condemnation of the “brutal attacks” to which Saudi Arabia was subjected, offering his condolences to the “victims of the attacks.” The Iranian-backed Houthi group launched attacks on Saudi Arabia, targeting oil and civilian sites, including King Khalid and Abha airports, resulting in a number of deaths and injuries.

According to the Jordanian News Agency (Petra), King Abdullah II affirmed “Jordan’s full solidarity with the Saudi brothers, and its support for the measures they are taking, under the leadership of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, King of the sisterly Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, to protect their security, sovereignty, and the safety of their citizens and residents of their land.” On Saturday, the Jordanian king condemned the Houthi attacks on Saudi Arabia, according to the official Kingdom Channel.

King Abdullah sent two condolence cables to the Saudi King and the Crown Prince for “the victims of the attacks that targeted Abha and King Khalid International Airports,” and expressed his condemnation of these attacks, stressing “Jordan’s full solidarity with the Saudi brothers and standing by their side in the measures they take to protect their country’s security and preserve its sovereignty.”
