Zamir approves the imposition of a siege on Hebron and additional villages

Tel Aviv - Ofoq News - Israeli Army Chief of Staff Eyal Zamir announced that a large quantity of ammunition was found inside the vehicle used by the perpetrators of the shooting attack in Hebron, claiming that the rapid intervention of the forces prevented a broader attack.

Zamir said, during a security assessment with the participation of senior army commanders, that the perpetrators of the operation were killed by the deputy commander of the “Ari” battalion and the commander of one of the companies, who quickly arrived at the site of the incident.

Zamir approved the imposition of a comprehensive siege on the city of Hebron and additional villages in the region, and the intensification of arrests and intelligence efforts, directing the readiness to strengthen the forces of the Central Region Command according to operational needs.
