Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky told the Financial Times, in an interview published on Thursday, that Ukraine will resume its strikes on Russian refineries.
He told the newspaper, "The ban on refinery attacks has ended. It's over."
This comes as the Russian Ministry of Defense said on the Telegram platform that it bombed the port of Izmail in the Ukrainian Odessa region overlooking the Black Sea, and also bombed two cargo ships that were on their way to Odessa. She added that these two ships were being used for military purposes.
The ministry's statement said on Thursday: "Last night, Russian forces continued to launch drone strikes against Ukrainian port infrastructure facilities, as well as ships operating for the Ukrainian Armed Forces. In Odessa Province, the Izmail Port infrastructure, used to unload and store military and dual-use equipment aimed at supporting the Ukrainian Armed Forces, was targeted," in addition to striking two cargo ships in the Black Sea that were transporting military cargo to the port of Odessa.
Simultaneously, Oleksandr Hansa, Governor of the Dnepropetrovsk Region, said via the Telegram application that Russian air strikes claimed the lives of two people in the region located in southeastern Ukraine early Thursday.
