From Lebanon to Yemen... Araqchi reveals what he discussed with Lavrov in Tehran

- Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi announced that he held talks with his Russian counterpart, Sergei Lavrov, in Tehran, which dealt with a number of regional and international issues, in addition to ways to expand economic and nuclear cooperation between the two countries. Araqchi said, in a post on his account on the “X” platform, Twitter previously: “We received Russian Foreign Minister Lavrov in Tehran for talks at an appropriate time.”

He added: "We addressed various issues, starting from Europe to West Asia, including Lebanon, Palestine, Ukraine and Yemen. We also focused on expanding cooperation in the economic and nuclear fields."

The Iranian Foreign Minister referred to the growing relations between Tehran and Moscow, saying: “Never before in our history have relations between Iran and Russia witnessed this level of rapprochement and close cooperation as is the case today.”
