Hammad Al-Harazin raises the ceiling of the challenge facing the rich from Bethlehem to Jerusalem to Rome

Rome - Sapienza University - Ofoq News - It was announced today in the Italian capital, Rome, the signing of an academic partnership between three universities, namely the University of Bethlehem, Al-Quds University in Abu Dis, and Sapienza University of Rome, under the umbrella of the Khair Foundation, which was founded by the Emirati businessman of Palestinian origin, Hammad Al-Harazin, and in the presence of the Palestinian Ambassador to the Vatican, Issa Qassisieh, the Palestinian Minister of Education, Amjad Barham, and European, international, and Palestinian delegations.

The partnership was signed in the presence of the former Minister of Education in the Palestinian Authority, Dr. Hanan Ashrawi, a member of the Fatah Central Committee, Dr. Leila Ghannam, Dr. Sameh Hajjah, the presidents of the three universities, and representatives of the Ramallah municipality, in addition to delegations from Palestine and various countries, to see the results of the efforts made by the businessman Hammad Al-Harazin to achieve this partnership, which allows students of the faculties of applied sciences at the universities of Bethlehem and Jerusalem to obtain accredited certificates from the University of Rome upon their graduation.

The Sapienza University of Rome was founded in 1303, and is considered one of the most prestigious European universities, with a student population of about 150,000, according to the information contained in the details of the event.

The signing ceremony witnessed speeches by the President of the Sapienza University of Rome, Professor Antonella Bellomini, who stressed what she described as the sincerity of Hammad Al-Harazin’s intention and his insistence on enabling Palestinian students to have educational opportunities at prestigious international universities.

The President of Al-Quds University, Imad Abu Kishk, and the President of Bethlehem University, Father Hector Gonzalez, also delivered speeches during the ceremony, in addition to interventions by the Minister of Education, Amjad Barham, and Dr. Laila Ghanem.

The event was documented with a large number of photos that recorded the signing ceremony and the participation of Palestinian and international delegations.

Commenting on the event, Ofoq News Editor-in-Chief Nasser Al-Laham, who participated in the signing ceremony, said that the story of businessman Hammad Al-Harazin deserves to be turned into a film, reviewing his career since his childhood in the Shujaiya neighborhood, through his work in the United Arab Emirates and his promotion there, arriving at what he described as his prominent role in donating and giving, and allocating his money to serve the Palestinian people and build schools and educational institutions for future generations.

Al-Lahham added that Al-Harazin did not donate part of his money or more than he needed, but rather, according to his description, he donated all of his money and property to build schools and universities to serve the children of the Palestinian people.

Al-Lahham continued that Al-Harazin, unintentionally, raised the challenge facing the wealthy people of Palestine, and proved that the appropriate place for money is work, production, achievement, and helping others, not coffers and bank accounts.
