The Palestine Tourism and Travel Exhibition will open its doors at the end of next month

Bethlehem - Ofoq News - Minister of Tourism and Antiquities Hani Al-Hayek expressed his support for holding the first edition of the "Palestine Tourism and Travel" exhibition at "Hebron Expo" in the city of Hebron at the end of next month.

The Minister affirmed his welcome of this initiative aimed at encouraging tourism and visiting holy, historical and heritage places in Palestine, stressing the Ministry’s openness to all purposeful and creative initiatives to stimulate the tourism movement.

Hayek expressed his hope that the exhibition will contribute to moving the wheel of tourism, which is suffering greatly due to political and economic conditions, and that the glorious holiday season at the end of this year will be a good omen for all Palestinian sectors.

This came during the minister’s meeting with the Director General of Hebron Expo, Rami Natsheh, in the presence of the General Manager of the Bright Tower Hotel, Marwan Nassar, and the Vice President of the Arab Hotels Association, Elias Al-Arja.

Natsheh spoke about Hebron Expo and its organization of many exhibitions, the most recent of which was the Construction Industries Exhibition in cooperation with the Engineers Syndicate, pointing out the impact it had on the economic and social life in the southern West Bank.

Al-Natsheh explained that “Expo Travel,” which was announced by Hebron Expo management, is a specialized platform that brings together tourism, travel, aviation, hotel and restaurant companies in one place, with the aim of exploring tourist destinations, displaying the latest services and offers, and building new opportunities for cooperation and partnerships.

He stressed that the Hebron Expo administration will work to prepare a calendar of exhibitions that it intends to implement during the coming year and that it will be published by the end of the current year, stressing the aspiration of Hebron Expo to partner with all industrial, service and tourism economic sectors to raise the level of services and products provided to citizens.

For his part, Marwan Nassar stressed that holding such an exhibition in such circumstances will contribute to improving the tourism situation, noting that the tourism sectors are currently preparing to receive the largest tourism season in Palestine at the end of the current year and the glorious holidays.

Al-Arja also appreciated the approach of Hebron Expo management to organize such an exhibition, stressing its importance in supporting the tourism sector and enhancing integration between the tourism and exhibition sectors.
